Praise the Lord for the appointment of Lauren Libby as the new president and CEO of Trans World Radio. Lauren will officially take the position as TWR's fourth president on December 1.
Pray for the candidate who has been selected as a possible International Director for TWR--Africa. Pray for wisdom for both the candidate and the Search Committee as they continue with the process of gathering information and making decisions.
Meeting -
Pray for God's presence in every decision and discussion when the Global Leadership Team meetings take place in November.
Pray for the Children's Ministry training for TWR staff. Pray for the instructors and for all of the preparations, that all will be in good order.
Economic Situation -
Pray for TWR's supporters and broadcasters in the light of the current economic crisis. Pray for God's provision during these tough economic times for TWR's ministry needs. We've already seen the impact of the economy from the unusually low response rates to our last two direct mail letters.
Bonarie -
Monday marked the end of this phase of Tower Painting on Bonarie. Praise God for His protection for the men and the excellent job they did. Pray for wisdom as they work to develop a long-term plan for replacing additional corroded cross members.
Zimbabwe -
Pray for those affected by the political situation in Zimbabwe, for the leaders and the people, that solutions to their dire situation would be found and put into practice.
Ukrainian -
Continue to pray for the situation with our Ukrainian 30 minute block, which still is not 100% solved.
Myanmar -
Praise God for supplying basic food and clothes in time of need to the people living in Myanmar villages hit by the Nargis cyclone. Pray God's continues abundant provisions both physically and spiritually.
Please pray for the ongoing earthquake rescue and the emergency evacuation in Sichuan. Pray for God's protection on the people, and His wisdom and strength to bring more people and resources into disaster-relief work.
Pray for God to comfort and heal the hearts of the affected people and the rescuers in Sichuan. Pray that people find peace and that their body, mind, and spirit are strengthened.
Beijing Olympic Games is counting down. Please pray for God to look after the preparations, and that people will find real peace in our Lord.
